What Eden Builds

The local construction picture.

Eden built itself on textile mills and tobacco — that's the history. Today, Gildan operates the city's largest plant (500+ employees, leading US/Canada activewear supplier), Weil-McLain manufactures hydronic heating systems, and KDH Defense builds protective armor for the military. The textile decline of the late 1990s and early 2000s reshaped the local economy, but manufacturing held. The surrounding Rockingham County remains agricultural — tobacco, livestock, and the buildings that support both.

Drive · Delivery · Pickup

45 miles. 65 minutes. Our trucks.

Eden is 45 miles SW via US-29 and NC-700 — about 65 minutes one way, crossing the VA/NC state line. Outside the free 30-mile zone; delivery is quoted with the order. For Rockingham County builders working both sides of the line, we're a one-stop yard.

Eden is where the Dan, Smith, and Mayo rivers converge — the city's name comes from a tract Patrick Henry once compared to the biblical Eden. We just call it the easiest run across the line.
